Now that we’ve made the gingerbread and icing sprinkle sheep and the modeling chocolate pigs, we’re on to modeling chocolate cows!
You can access my modeling chocolate recipe here if you want to make your materials, or if you prefer ready made products, my favorite modeling chocolate is sold on Amazon.
A few balls of white, black and light pink will do the trick.
I shaped the rounds into basic cows shapes. Body, head, ears, eyes, tail, snout, spots.
I put the pink bit on top of the head shape.
I poked holes in the snout to look like a nose. I absolutely love my silicone clay sculpting tools.
I added some black modeling chocolate to the head so it had spots.
Then I pressed the eyeballs into the head as well.
I used my silicone clay sculpting tool to shape the ears.
Then I used the same tool to smooth and blend the ears onto the sides of the head.
Next, I tackled the body.
I added some more black spots onto the body.
I used some bucatini pasta to create a “neck”.
I pressed the head onto the pasta to secure it to the body.
Then I added some more pasta to the bottom to act as legs.
I shaped the tail with white and black modeling chocolate.
Then I used my sculpting tool to smooth it onto the back of the body.
He’s so stinkin cute! Edible farm animals are so fun!
