Get your fat pants ready! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? Holy cow. This year has flown by.
This particular holiday gives me mixed feelings. On the one hand, there’s a lot of travel involved. My husband and I got married and moved away from our families a few years ago. So naturally we are responsible for driving to go see them during the holidays. With a baby in the mix now, everything is just harder, longer, and more exhausting. On the other hand, our families are good at accommodating our schedules, so we get to have 2 Thanksgiving dinners on different days of the week. AND… I don’t have to cook. Woohoo! Totally worth the hassle.
As you may have noticed from my last 8 posts or so, I put a lot of effort into my Halloween decorating game. When is comes to Thanksgiving, I fall a little flat. I usually just keep my generic fall decor up until it’s time to decorate for Christmas. But when I put away all my spooky October arrangements, it usually feels like something is missing. Nothing a few well placed signs can’t fix, right?
If you read my Creating Graphic Signs in PicMonkey post, then you already know how to make your own signs. Or if you read my Halloween Signs post, then you know I can get a little carried away with the program. I also happened to mention that I’d create a few Thanksgiving signs. Well, I created more than a few. In fact, I created so many I don’t know what to do with them all. So I figured I would offer them up for download. If you don’t want to create your own, feel free to use mine!
I find this one highly amusing and oh so fitting to my situation. I want to make it into a shirt.

I love me some Chick-fil-A. I even went so far as to download their font so I could use it for a sign.

While I find the turkey silhouettes hilarious, Thanksgiving is a time for family, reflection, and giving thanks for all that we have. So I created a series of more serious signs.

I got hooked on the black leaf circle for a while. I had even more versions of it, but I picked a few of my favorites.

Black and white is great for matching any decor, but sometimes you need a little color. And a font change…

I was messing around with some shape overlays and came up with a cute pumpkin. So of course I did a million different versions of the pumpkin sign with different fonts and colors and sayings. In the end, I picked a few simple ones I liked.

After I got over my pumpkin obsession, I got onto a bit of a leaf kick. They don’t really go with the current theme in my house, but they were fun to play with nonetheless.

The imprint leaves were cool in that they were traditional fall colors, but I prefer the more animated leaves.

If you aren’t a fan of the traditional fall colors, I created a black and white version of the leaves as well. This one is definitely going up in the house.

Traditional signs were necessary, but I did eventually get bored and go back to making some fun, off the wall choices. This one is for all my fellow Hokies out there.
